Provided end-to-end economic crime due diligence processes on global customers, including researching, reviewing and reporting results for Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), economic sanctions, anti-corruption and adverse media exposure. Investigated and analysed transactions to identify unusual patterns of payments and transactions and supported suspicious transaction (STR) reporting and Anti-money laundering. Determined red-flag mitigation steps and lead escalation processes to global subject matter experts. Supported relevant teams in the continuous enhancement of risk assessment methodologies and platforms to ensure the economic crime and operational risk appetite of the bank is appropriately managed.

Provided expertise in grant acquisition and management, mapping and monitoring new funding opportunities, structuring proposals and developing technical positioning material for donors and partners. Conducted market research to continuously reassess and develop team strategy, partnership and business development.

Provided leadership and direction to a US-based organisation mobilising resources, talents, and technologies to benefit the most vulnerable communities in Colombia and Latin America. Conducted legal, ethical, and reputational due diligence, found new sources of funding, monitored projects, maintained communications, wrote project-related information, and designed and managed fundraising campaigns which raised over $80,000 USD.

This international consultant provided support to a variety of local and multinational clients across different sectors such as pharmaceuticals, security, infrastructure and FMCG. They conducted business intelligence, investigations and due diligence reports, as well as developing remedial and action plans to help clients meet their ethics and compliance requirements. Additionally, they provided back-office document processing and translation services to assist in customer development.

The United Nations Advisor provided representation for the Permanent Mission of Colombia at agencies and organs within the UN system in NYC. They managed the public and private agenda for the Colombian President and Nobel Laureate (Peace), supported resolution negotiation, prepared materials for key bilateral and multilateral meetings, and designed and planned events and campaigns. The Advisor's efforts enabled the nomination of Colombia for the UN presidency.
