I have been a Quality Assurance Manager Global since 2013, managing teams of internal and offshore testers for the Global Professional Services Department, spending 80% of my time on hands-on testing and 20% on management tasks. My achievements include leading QA activities on agile projects, creating and managing the EMEA Professional Services QA team, collaborating with the sales team to produce high quality demos, and managing team morale. My responsibilities have included working and liaising with implementation partners globally, taking on the role of Scrum Master, assisting with DevOps tasks, executing performance testing, writing and maintaining automated tests, and authoring test and QA documentation.

As a Principal QA Engineer, I was responsible for testing and managing testing of both Scrum and Waterfall based projects for Yell.com web and back end platforms, through the entire lifecycle. My key achievements included building and maintaining the Jenkins continuous integration server, Sonar code metrics system, JBehave functional tests and JMeter performance tests, as well as mentoring and supporting junior staff and managing the day to day work of external testing resources on project work.

I have implemented and administered TestDirector for Quality Center, developed new departmental intranet pages, evaluated, planned and implemented Quicktest Professional and Winrunner to increase automated testing capabilities, and co-ordinated the use of additional resources from both within the development team and the wider business to ensure projects were adequately resourced.

My role involves managing the UK QA department and leading testing activities on both local and global projects, through the complete lifecycle. This includes developing testing strategies, delivering successful projects, improving processes and procedures, ensuring quality standards, and developing successful teams.
